Management Team

Kimberly Nuccio, President and Founder of Mission Mountain Laboratories, Scientist, and Entrepreneur, is one of those people that “gets things done”. There are relatively few true leaders in business who seem able to build relationships, trust, and rapport with just about anyone, then nurture those relationships into partnerships and alliances to last a lifetime. She radiates a sincere passion for delivering exceptional service and value to her customers.

She has experience in developing analytical testing methods for botanical and Nutrition products, and in basic scientific research in HPLC, AA, and other types of laboratory equipment. She has served as a Senior Scientist for a variety of Nutritional food, and Cosmetic companies, and has written over 160 analytical testing methods of water, Herbal, and Nutritional raw materials to finished products. These life experiences, education, and self-motivation were the driving forces to making the life changing decision to build a high quality analytical testing laboratory from the ground up.  She is committed to an ongoing effort to increase reliability and consistency beyond just an ISO certification, expand the laboratory capabilities and at the same time bring affordable solutions that address the needs of her customers.

“I want our customers to know and relate to me as an individual, and to understand that my company reflects myself.”

Kimberly A. Nuccio

Her free time is spent either riding and showing her quarter horses, or at the lake camping and fishing. Other hobbies include reading, cross-stitching, cross country skiing, hunting, and cooking for her family and friends.

Dr. Michele Quam is vice president of marketing and sales for Mission Mountain Labs (MML). Prior to joining MML in 2005, Dr. Quam owned and operated a large Functional Medicine clinic that specialized in food sensitivities, autoimmune conditions, digestive health, and nutritional supplementation for a holistic approach to healing. In search of that perfect supplement to recommend to her patients she found that many did not meet even minimal purity and potency standards. This long journey brought her to MML.

Dr. Quam’s professional interests are driven by her personal background and passions and believes it is a true honor and privilege to support others in the area of health and nutrition. Quality of life is so deeply connected to what we put into our bodies every day. Today’s society is fast paced, and the high demand lifestyle has made it difficult for us to slow down, preventing good life choices, making it paramount that everyone has high quality nutritional supplements available at an affordable price. Providing quality testing services at a price that even the smallest manufacturing company can afford will help this become a reality for more people. Helping manufactures control costs is her way of giving back.

Dr. Quam has two daughters and 7 grandchildren and still manages to indulge her passion for golf and RV’ing across the USA while working to maintain an advisory position to other health care providers and spreading the word about MML to the nutritional supplement industry.

Her favorite quote is one of Zig Ziglar’s.

“You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.”

Dr. Michele Quam studied at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and Arizona State University earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Quam is always continuing her education through various conferences and seminars and is a board certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and Chiropractor.

Dr. Jonathan Speare is Mission Mountain Labortories, Inc. and provides leadership and management to MML’s analytical and microbiological groups, having over 20 years of high-level laboratory and manufacturing experience. Prior to joining MML, Dr. Speare was the Laboratory Manager for the Quality Control Analytical/Microbiology department at the cGMP Dietary Supplement and Drug contract manufacturer Nutritional Laboratories International, Inc. (now Elite One Source Nutritional Services, Inc.). In addition, Dr. Speare was Technical Manager of the Analytical Chemistry department at the sustainable chemical manufacturer Rivertop Renewables, Inc.

Dr. Speare received his Ph.D. in physical biochemistry from the University of Montana in 2003 specializing in the use of spectroscopic and biochemical methods to elucidate molecular mechanisms associated with prion diseases under the direction of Dr. Byron Caughey at the National Institutes of Health. His post-doctoral research training included leading efforts to develop an ultrasensitive prion protein detection method for use as an ante-mortem diagnostic assay for chronic wasting disease at the University of Wyoming and determining molecular mechanisms underlying the transmissible nature of prion diseases at the National Institutes of Health.

Therese Divilbiss, is the Quality officer for Mission Mountain Labs. Taz is her nickname which gives a little insight into her “go get em” and fun-loving personality. She grew up in Massachusetts, but her love of the outdoors and her adventurous spirit pulled her clear across America to Missoula Montana where she completed her college studies in chemistry and anthropology.

She has had the opportunity to work in some very prestigious and advanced laboratories in the Montana area. Taz has worked in a biochemistry lab, a neuro-toxicology lab, and an inorganic chemistry lab, which all contributed to her well rounded and extensive scientific knowledge. One of her more interesting and rewarding experiences came from her internship at the Montana State Crime Lab. She has shared with us many colorful stories about her crime lab experiences. Her responsibilities were varied and included method development and running the full array of laboratory analysis equipment on a routine basis.  Method development is one of her favorite responsibilities and she considers it one of her most rewarding contributions to MML. This thirst for answers reveals how dedicated she is to solve some of the most difficult questions. She is very inquisitive by nature and has the patients of a saint, which makes for a powerful combination and perfect for laboratory work here at MML. We are fortunate to have her on our team of outstanding scientists.

Taz has many interests outside of the lab that keep her physically active and offer her brain a rest from her daily lab duties. She is an accomplished rugby player for the Betterside Women’s team, enjoys kickball and inner tube water polo as well. Her nickname paints an appropriate and fun picture of her movements and demeanor while she enjoys her sporting activities.  She works hard and plays hard!
